Do you really have a weight problem?
If you want to work out your own Body Mass Index, the formula is:
Weight in kilograms
_____________________________
Height in metres x height in metres
So, for example, if your current weight is 10 stone 10
lbs (150 lbs) or 68 kilos, and you are 5ft 6 ins, or 1.67 metres, the
sum works out:
68
_____________________________
1.67 x 1.67
= 24.38
24.38 is a BMI just within Government
recommendations based on heart disease, and quite close to the marker
figure used in the osteoporosis research.
