Inspiring Ideas for Day Events

Mid-life changes: what’s happening to your body?

Do you want to cope better with the changes in your body at mid-life? The menopause challenges us to make a new relationship with our bodies.

I enjoyed the variety of ways in which issues were dealt with, and the use of concrete materials to focus ideas.Workshop imageWe may also, however, start to suffer from ‘wear and tear’. Stress and the way we handle it takes its toll as well. This workshop will help you to understand what is going on, to draw on other women’s experiences and good ideas and to work out what other help could be useful. You will have space to think about how you want to look after yourself, and to decide where to start. There will be information available on a wide variety of sources of help.

Mid-life changes: new directions

Do you want to sort out the tangle of conflicting demands on you, and take more control of your life?

Workshop imageIn the middle years of life, you may have more and different calls on your time and energy. Other people - children, older relatives or partners – may make heavy demands; your job and other commitments can also pull at you. In the midst of all this, it is easy for you to lose track of your own needs, and yet self-care is particularly important to help you to cope. This workshop provides the opportunity to stand back and look at your life. You can assess whether you need to make changes of your own, and look at what support you may need to help you look after yourself, as well as other people.
